Guti: Real Madrid miss Makelele

Real Madrid's stand-in captain Guti admits the team is still suffering from the sale of Claude Makelele two years ago to Chelsea.

The Spaniard told AS: "He was very important for us because of how he worked, by his tactical sense and other things."

"He received an offer and Madrid made a decision... What I agree with is that since then, the team has never played with two central midfielders."

"But now we return to that formula, so that we can add Pablo Garcia, Gravesen... to the midfield."
