Great Teams Can't Lose Twice In A Row

Real Madrid midfielder Mahamadou Diarra has insisted that they cannot afford to lose when they take on Sporting Gijon on Saturday night in the Primera Liga and added that Los Merengues are still in the formative stages of development as a team.

"A great team can not lose twice in a row in four days, that would would be very bad for us," he told Radio Marca before declaring that the new and existing players at the club haven't faired badly so far but need more time to gel.

"I think the team is still forming, because if we look, the club have signed very well but there are many new players and, given that fact, the results are not so bad. We need a little more time."

The Mali international also said that Milan will always be one of Europe's best sides despite their stumbling start in Serie A so far this season.

"A great team in Europe is always a great team in Europe. It is true they are a little lost in the Calcio, but a game between two big teams like this is always difficult," he remarked.
