Gravesen urges Real Madrid pal Owen to snub Newcastle, Liverpool

Thomas Gravesen is urging Real Madrid pal Michael Owen not to quit the club.

Owen is being linked with Liverpool, Newcastle and Gravesen's old club Everton and the Dane said: "It will be such a big loss if Michael leaves because he is one of the best strikers in the world - if not the very best."

"Every time Michael plays he scores and shows quality."

"Madrid have just signed Julio Baptista and Robinho but they have come more to play in midfield so there is still room for Michael."

Owen is up for grabs at £16million but only Newcastle have made a firm bid.
