Gravesen delighted with first Real Madrid goal

Thomas Gravesen was delighted to have scored his first goal for Real Madrid in Saturday's victory over Espanyol.

The Danish midfielder came off the bench to score in Real's convincing victory and said last night: "I was able to score my first goal for Madrid with the first shot I've made in this shirt. I am very happy for that reason. I almost cannot believe it."

"It was the perfect end for an unforgettable night in the Bernabéu."

"We're all valid players for Luxemburgo. His work is to select us as he wants. I cannot get upset for not starting. My role is to contribute to the team with everything I have; that is my objective and I believe that I am obtaining it."
