Gonzalo Higuain Looking To Impress For Argentina In Catalunya Friendly

In form Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain has targetted a win at Camp Nou tonight when his Argentina side take on Catalunya in a friendly in the hope of bolstering his chances of making hte Albiceleste squad for the World Cup in South Africa.

Higuain's recent run in the Madrid team has seen him establish himself as one of Los Merengues leading goal threats and the Argentinian is refusing to take this Camp Nou friendly lightly as he sees it as an opportunity to once again prove his worth for place in Diego Maradona's squad.

""I hope the outcome is better than last time [1-0 defeat to Barcelona], we didn't deserve to lose that Clasico. For me it's an important game. If not, I would not have come. It's my choice, these are important tests with the World Cup in mind, it will be competitive," he told AS before outlining his targets for the remainder of the season with Real Madrid.

"I feel great, how could I not be? I have ten goals, the team has more hope to fight for everything collectively and individually. The challenge is league and Champions League, I hope the team will be ready for it, because I want those titles and I am hopeful of winning the Pichichi. For now, I'm in the fight and that is another incentive to work and do things right."
