Give me a chance - Solari

Santiago Solari reckons that he has now done enough to merit more opportunities at Real Madrid.

The 24-year-old Argentinian arrived at the Bernabeu last summer from neighbouring Atletico Madrid. But with all the positions on the left side of the pitch currently occupied, he has rarely figured in the team at all.

When he has been drafted into the side, he has shown that he is a valuable member of the squad. Solari scored a crucial goal in the Champions League at Lazio back in February, then on Wednesday, he was the hero in a local benefit match against neighbours, Getafe.

The match was held in remembrance of ex-Getafe player, Jose Luis
Gomez Collado, who died of a heart attack recently. Solari netted Real's first and was instrumental in the second, scored by Jorge Lopez, Tote.

Solari explained that now Real Madrid have sealed the league, he would like to be given a chance in the last two games of the season.

"I don't know if I’ll be playing against Oviedo and Valladolid, the coach hasn't mentioned anything to us."

"But if I do get an opportunity then I know that it will have no effect on my future. If I've had to prove anything then I think I've already done that in the few games I've played this season," he said.
