Gillespie wants one over ex-Man Utd pal Beckham

In-form Leicester City winger Keith Gillespie is aiming to get one over former Manchester Unietd teammate David Beckham today as Northern Ireland play England.

The Foxes star said: "I first met Becks when I was 13 when I used to come over to United from Belfast to train during the school holidays. It's amazing to see what has happened to him over the years since then."

"Back then, you could tell he was going to be a good player. He stood out with his fantastic technique. The only thing was he was very small but he quickly grew."

"When I reached 16, United took me on full-time and Becks lived up the road from me in digs. I was rooming with Robbie Savage. There was myself, Becks, Gary Neville, John O'Kane and Chris Casper."

"We played endless snooker games to while away the hours and I seem to remember Becks was pretty good at that too!"

"We all came through together and it's amazing when you look at how many of us went on to make it as players from that FA Youth Cup winning side in 1992."
