Gil Takes Swipe At Real And Barcelona

Controversial Atletico Madrid president Jesus Gil has aimed a swipe at Real Madrid and Barcelona during a ceremony for former players.

"These big, rich clubs may have the power, but it doesn't reflect results on the field," he said.

"It's good that Real Madrid and Barcelona are run as they are as it gives Luis (coach Aragones) the chance to take Atletico above them."
