Giggs & Beckham Are Staying, Says Ferguson

Sir Alex Ferguson has insisted David Beckham and Ryan Giggs are not going to be sold this summer.

The duo have been linked with Real Madrid and Inter Milan respectively, although Ferguson is adamant both players will be at Old Trafford next season.

Ferguson believes speculation regarding a move to Madrid for David Beckham is purely down to United having been drawn against the Spanish giants in the Champions League.

While, he feels talk of Giggs signing for Inter is rubbish as the Italian's coundn't afford the Welsh winger.

On Beckham he said: "I think I addressed that very well when I said it only came out when the draw was made for the quarter-finals, and we are still playing them."

"Probably after the game on Wednesday it will vanish. You know what they are up to and I think it will all die after this game."

"There has certainly been no approach from Real Madrid and I can assure everyone of that. We have played the game, I am not saying that is the only reason this has come about, but it is coincidental to say the least."

"When did it arise? When we got the draw for the quarter finals."

While on Giggs he added: "There was speculation last summer too and it was the same club, Inter Milan."

"This is the club which says it has no money. Do they think they are going to get a player for nothing for a start?"
