Getafe chief confirms Real Madrid approach for Alexis

Getafe sports chief Paco Llorente has confirmed an approach from Real Madrid for defender Alexis.

Only hours after Getafe president Angel Torres denied all contact from Real for the young stopper, Llorente admitted: "Pedja (Real Madrid sports director Mijatovic) told me they love Alexis. He has the ability to attract the attention of the world's biggest clubs."

"The £6 million that Alexis would cost would be phenomenal for us. With that sort of money, we'd be able to strengthen the team in our weaker areas."
