Geremi set for Chelsea

Real's Ndjitep Geremi is expected to sign for English Premiership side Chelsea by the middle of next week for a fee of around £7,000,000.

Chelsea have already had an offer of £5.4m rejected by Real three weeks ago.

However, the English club have refused to give up on the capture of the Cameroonian and officials will travel to the Spanish capital to try and resolve the deal within the next seven days with the new offer.

Geremi, currently in Cameroon on vacation, has shown an interest in a switch from the Spanish Liga to the Premiership after having hardly entered into Real's plans for the second half of last season.

If Geremi does complete a switch to Chelsea, it will almost certainly mean Michel Salgado will stay at the Bernabéu, despite reported interest from Italy.
