Geremi in demand

Real Madrid right-back Geremi Fotso is the top target for a host of European clubs and could leave the Spanish giants in the summer.

Real are hoping to fill Geremi's position in the close season with Inter Milan ace Javier Zanetti and so the sale of Geremi and Michel Salgado would bring in a much-needed cash injection for the club's multi-million dollar spending spree.

First in line are Turkish champions Fenerbahce, who see the Cameroon-born defender as the perfect reinforcement to their rear guard in their pre-season revamp.

Geremi has experience in the Turkish league having spent two seasons at Genclerbiligi before signing for John Toshack's Real Madrid side in 1999.

Arsenal are also keen top land the player as a replacement for Lee Dixon, they have tabled a $US 6.9million bid, however Madrid want $US 9.7million for the defender.

Geremi, who came under heavy fire from Real Madrid fans earlier this season said on Thursday that he would consider any offer that came his way if he was left out of the picture by Real's Vicente Del Bosque next term.
