Gareth Bale Considered 'Untouchable' at Real Madrid

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane reportedly considers Gareth Bale to be "untouchable" and will not entertain the possibility of selling him this summer.

According to Marca's Jose Feliz Diaz, Bale's importance to the team has been made clear to him since the end of last season, and as a result he is "focusing solely" on staying put this summer.

The Independent's Evan Bartlett had reported Bale would be eager to join Manchester United this summer should Real opt to move him on.

Injury problems restricted Bale to just 27 appearances in all competitions last term, and he finished the campaign with nine goals and five assists to his name.

Indeed, the Spaniard was in sensational form, particularly in the second half of the season, and he arguably makes the side more balanced than the Welshman too.

However, despite his struggles for form and fitness, Bale has shown himself to be a world-class operator at the Santiago Bernabeu.

He's almost the complete forward player—he's pacey, direct and physical, he's a clinical finisher and he's adept at converting chances in the air too.
