Gareth Bale admits Real Madrid lost concentration during Champions League draw with Legia Warsaw: 'We need to learn from our mis

Gareth Bale insists Real Madrid must improve at both ends of the pitch after throwing away a two-goal lead against Legia Warsaw.

Goals from Bale and Karim Benzema put the visitors in control before a brilliant fightback from the hosts left Real 3-2 down with seven minutes to play.

Mateo Kovacic's 85th minute strike ensured Zinedine Zidane's men left with a point after a 3-3 draw, but Bale was left unimpressed with his side's performance.

"We're not happy with the result, we need to learn from this and bounce back stronger," Bale told beIN Sports.

"We had control of game at 2-0 and we just lost concentration. At this level if it happens you get punished."

"We need to be better defensively and more clinical with chances. We just need to learn from mistakes."

Zidane was equally frustrated with his side's display, accusing his players of 'lacking everything' after Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe struck in the 40th minute to give Legia hope.

"When you score two goals away from home you normally have things under control but in the end we let our opponents back into the game," Zidane said.

"Once they got the first goal back it became difficult for us. We lacked everything - intensity, movement, enthusiasm. Sometimes you get games like this and we now have to be patient. The good thing is we didn't lose."
