Garcia Remon signs improved Real Madrid deal

Real Madrid coach Mariano Garcia Remon has signed a contract to the end of the season.

Garcia Remon penned the deal on Thursday, which is an improved deal to what he was on as assistant coach prior to replacing Jose Antonio Camacho last month.

The deal will run until June 30, with no clause included that allows it to be extended. Interestingly, an option did exist in Camacho's 12-month deal that allowed both parties to extend it.

No talks have been scheduled over a possible extension of Garcia Remon's new contract, with Real's board keen to see how he guides the team this season before making a decision.

But they have informed Garcia Remon and his representatives they have total confidence in him and if the team does well, they will sit down to discuss a new contract.
