Garcia Remon scoffs at Real Madrid resignation calls

Mariano Garcia Remon insists he won't resign as coach of Real Madrid.

Real fans turned on Garcia Remon last week as Seville defeated the Spanish giants at home.

But the Real trainer said: "I have never thought about resigning, nor do I think about it. I am not going to deny that in the Liga we are not well, neither in games nor in results."

"But we are alive in the Champions League, with options to go far, just as in the Copa del Rey. People forget that since I became coach, in the European Cup we took four points from Dynamo Kiev and three from Bayer Leverkusen. We can win everything. Nothing is lost."

He added: "I am not depressed about the situation. I am strong in spirit and confident we can emerge from this."

"I know I have the confidence of the president and the club. I feel endorsed by Florentino Perez."
