Galatasaray to break bank for Real Madrid's Figo

Turkish giants Galatasaray are ready to outbid Premiership rivals to land Real Madrid winger Luis Figo.
 
Portugal international favours a move to England if he is to be released a year early from his Real contract this summer. However, Premiership clubs are struggling to match the £8 million over two years he is seeking.

Gala are ready to meet Figo's wage demands - and are even prepared to offer him an extra year on top of what he wants to convince the Portuguese to move to Turkey next season.

Qatar's Al Rayyan and J-League giants Urawa Red Diamonds are also prepared to pay big for Figo. But with the World Cup finals looming next summer, the winger would prefer to remain in Europe next season.

Spanish duo Villarreal and Valencia, plus Liverpool, Manchester United, Bolton Wanderers and Newcastle United have all expressed interest in 32 year-old Figo.
