Gago Training Again Ahead Of Derby

With the derby against Atlético Madrid approaching Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster will be buoyed by the news that midfielder Fernando Gago trained normally today with his team-mates.

It's one of the biggest matches in the La Liga calendar and hence both Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid will be hoping they have their strongest XI fit for their clash this Saturday.

The latest news is good for Los Blancos after Fernando Gago trained normally with the rest of his team-mates today in the capital. The Argentine has been recovering from injury but he is now looking fit again and Bernd Schuster could utilise him in midfield depending who else is available.

Whilst one midfielder looks to be fit another three appear to be doubts, the trio of Guti, Arjen Robben and Mahamdou Diarra, none of whom trained today. The first two did a session in the gym but no more and Diarra did nothing as he tries to recover from a knock he picked up whilst on international duty with Mali.

Schuster did not have his full side to work side to work with because of international matches and he is likley to have to wait until Friday before he does so. That means he will not have much time to analyse the fitness of his players and he must be hoping that he can choose his strongest team for this key match.
