Gago: I prefer Real Madrid over Barcelona

Boca Juniors midfielder Fernando Gago has told Barcelona to forget about trying to sign him.

Gago has his heart set on a move to Real Madrid and said: "I always said that since seeing Fernando Redondo go there, my dream has been to play for a team like Real Madrid, one of the greatest in Europe."

"I always said this clearly: between choosing to play in Madrid or Barcelona I always prefer Real Madrid. I identify more with them because from very young I watched Real games on television and it is a dream that I must fulfill."
