Gago blocked from Real Madrid exit

Fernando Gago has been blocked from leaving Real Madrid.

The Argentina international, through his agent, has told Real GM Jorge Valdano that he wants to leave Real this month.

But Marca says Gago has been informed he is a required player, particularly with Mahamadou Diarra leaving Madrid for Mali's African Nations Cup campaign in Angola.
