Four players who will be on opposing sides in the European Cup final at Old Trafford on Wednesday were named in this season's Champions League All-Star team on Tuesday.
Four players who will be on opposing sides in the European Cup final at Old Trafford on Wednesday were named in this season's Champions League All-Star team on Tuesday.
Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon and defender Lilian Thuram were selected along with Paolo Maldini, the AC Milan skipper and Milan's Brazilian midfielder Rivaldo.
The selection also includes three players from Manchester United -- David Beckham, Ruud Van Nistelrooy and Rio Ferdinand, and two from Arsenal - Patrick Vieira and Thierry Henry -- despite neither English club making it to the semi-finals.
Bobby Charlton, who helped select the team along with Eusebio, said: "Making the choice was not easy as there have been some priceless moments this season from players of the highest standard."
