Casemiro has turned out to be an important tactical option for Real Madrid coach Rafa Benítez and has been on the pitch frequently. A starter in the 1-1 draw with rivals Atlético Madrid, and praised for being one of the best in the field, Casemiro is expected to be kept in the XI when Real Madrid take on Levante on Saturday. Karembeu said: "I'm a big fan of Casemiro. He is a midfielder of great strength and I think he will play a very important role in Real Madrid."
Casemiro arrived from São Paulo in 2013, playing for Real Madrid Castilla, and was loaned out to Porto before becoming a regular in first team at the Bernabéu. His performances in the 2014-15 season caught the attention of Real Madrid who activated their option to reinstate the midfielder into their squad.
