Florentino: I will bring stability back to Real Madrid

Florentino Perez says he was wrong to resign from Real Madrid at the end of his previous reign as president.

Declaring his candidacy for the Real elections, Perez said: "The first move I want to give you and the first thing I would say is that from the perspective of time, that decision I took was wrong."

"I thought I would leave as a gesture of responsibility and even consistency. Yes, I was wrong."

"This club cannot, nor should convey to the world, the erratic behavior in recent years."

Perez went on to promise "a spectacular team", a winning and exciting sports department and which would be run with great enthusiasm.

He added: "I return with even more enthusiasm than in 2000, with more passion, with a plan that can return to the club institutional stability and a winning sports project."
