Flavio Rejects Boro For Dortmund

Flavio Conceicao has decided to join Borussia Dortmund on a season-long loan from Real Madrid.

The Brazilian midfielder was also being targeted by Middlesbrough, but the lure of Champions League football proved decisive.

"I am very happy that my loan deal with Borussia can finally be sealed," he said.

"I have chosen the German team because they are going to be playing in the Champions League next season and that is very important for me because it shows they are ambitious."

"I want to publicly thank Middlesbrough with all my heart for the Interest they showed in me," he added.

Middlesbrough have now turned their attentions to Inter Milan's Stephane Dalmat. The Italian club have confirmed Boro's interest and added they are prepared to loan the player.
