Fiorentina chief Corvino aware of Real Madrid push for Vargas

Fiorentina sports director Pantaleo Corvino is aware of interest from Real Madrid in fullback Juan Manuel Vargas.

The Peru international is emerging as a January target for Real, where management have failed to be convinced by their current left-back options.

Corvino admitted last night: "The interest of Real Madrid for Vargas? I've read and heard these rumours, rumours are part of the game."

"Anyway, we do not want to dismantle our team, we intend to keep him. Only those who do not want to give in will remain, for the others we will seek to monetize as much as possible."
