Filipe tells Real Madrid: I can replace Roberto Carlos

Brazilian youngster Filipe has had his first training session with Real Madrid's senior team this week and immediately declared he wants Roberto Carlos' spot.
 
A star with Real Madrid 'B', Filipe is a left-sided wing-back like Roberto Carlos and was called up for the first time by coach Juan Ramon Lopez Caro to train with the senior stars.

"He (Roberto Carlos) is a friend of mine and his exit, if it is confirmed, will be bad for Madrid, although it is true that I will have more opportunities. I am ready to replace him," said Filipe.

Filipe's contract expires in the summer, but he expects to be offered new terms by Real and a place in the club's senior squad.
