Figo urges Real Madrid to secure Solari

Real Madrid winger Luis Figo is urging the club to secure teammate Santiago Solari to a new contract.

The Argentine's deal expires in the summer and he has already held talks with Barcelona about a Bosman move to the Nou Camp next season.

"I hope that Santi continues for many years with Real Madrid because he is a player of much quality and someone who is very well thought of at the club," said Figo.

"He would be an important loss if he left. He has many qualities that year after year he demonstrates."
