Figo touch and go

Real Madrid may be without Luis Figo when they travel to Oviedo on Sunday night for the penultimate game of the season.

The Portuguese star suffered a series of injuries whilst appearing for his country in Saturday's World Cup qualifier against Northern Ireland.

The player received a blow to his right foot in the match and complained of pains in his left shoulder after the tie.

Real's medics have decided that it would be madness for Figo to play in Sunday's match and risk aggravating his injuries when Real already have the league title in the bag.

They say the player should be allowed to rest and recover at his own pace. In Figo's absence, Steve McManaman would return to the right-wing leaving either Savio Bortolini or Pedro Munitis to occupy the left flank.
