Figo: Real Madrid must tell me their plans

Real Madrid wing ace Luis Figo says no-one from the club has yet spoken with him about his contract.

Figo's current deal expires in 2006 and he has expressed a desire to know, one way or another, if Real intend to extend his contract.

He said yesterday: "I am a professional and my intention is to fulfill my contract. What I want is to be useful to the club."

"Come the moment the club does not think the same, we will have to talk. I do not want to create any kind of problem. Ever since I arrived, my attitude has been exemplary and it will be so until the 30th of June in 2006."

"Contracts are there to be fulfilled. But there can be times when one party wants to end it early. If that's the case with the club, then I am ready to talk."
