The Portuguese star told One Football on Friday: "I'm under contract at Madrid but that doesn't mean that I'm going to complete the full five years. If I'm physically able to do so, then I'd quite like to have a go in the English Premiership one day. In any case, I don't know what I'll be doing when I'm 32, it all depends on how things work out. Time is moving on and I'm not at the beginning of my career".
Figo signed for Real Madrid from rivals Barcelona last summer, and is under contract with the Blancos until 2005.
His comments about leaving the Bernabeu before his contract expires are bound to cause a stir in the Real camp - directors at the club were alarmed to hear a similar confession from left-back Roberto Carlos, who recently hinted that he would like to finish his career in his home country of Brazil.
