Figo Banned For One Match As Madrid's Appeal Is Rejected

Real Madrid appealed to have a Luis Figo one-match ban lifted, and that appeal was rejected.

Figo was sent off in the second half of his clubs' match against Barcelona on Sunday for a late tackles on Carles Puyol.

Real Madrid officials claim that Figo never even touched Puyol, nonetheless the one game suspension stands.

The Spanish Football Competition Comitee claims they reviewed the play several times and agree with the match officials' call.
