FIFA Team of the Year 2017: Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus dominate FIFPro World XI

FIFA have unveiled the players who were voted as the best in the world in 2017.

The line-up was decided by professionals around the world - with over 24,000 footballers casting their votes for the best players in a 4-3-3 formation based on performances during the 2016-17 season.

After Real Madrid won the Champions League final in Cardiff in June, it is no surprise to see five of Zinedine Zidane’s men in the line-up.

Three of the Juventus players who were on the losing side in that final also make the cut - although two of them have since moved on.

Real Madrid’s great rivals Barcelona may only have won the Copa del Rey last season, but two of their key men make the side, along with Nou Camp old boy who made a high profile transfer in the summer.

That means not a single Premier League player makes the team, despite the likes of Harry Kane and N’Golo Kante enjoying phenomenal campaigns.
