Fenerbahce move for Real Madrid's Cassano

Fenerbahce are moving for Real Madrid striker Antonio Cassano.

Real president Ramon Calderon has already declared that Cassano is unlikely to start the season in Madrid and Fenerbahce chiefs want to take the Italian on-loan for the new campaign.

Fener already have signed Cassano's former Real teammate Roberto Carlos and hope the Brazilian's presence, along with the likes of Diego Lugano, Mateja Kezman and Deivid will convince the former Roma man that they're serious players in Europe.
