Fenerbahce go for Real Madrid's Baptista

Fenerbahce have made a move for Real Madrid midfielder Julio Baptista.

Sevilla have been in talks with Real about bringing the Brazilian back to his former club in the summer. However, in the last 48 hours cashed-up Fenerbahce have jumped into the race.

Fener coach Zico and his Brazilian contingent - including former Real teammate Roberto Carlos - would love to see Baptista move to Istanbul for next season.
