Falcao takes important step towards Real Madrid move

Real Madrid are closing on a deal for AS Monaco striker Radamel Falcao.

L'Equipe says Monaco are prepared to sell Falcao and real Madrid are out to secure his services – if he has fully recovered from his knee injury.

Falcao proved his fitness in London yesterday, playing against Valencia.

The 28-year-old Colombian has been out of action since suffering anterior cruciate ligament damage in a French Cup match against Chasselay in January.

Real only want to verify that he is in top physical condition before sealing his signing.
