Failure Is Not Possible For This Real Madrid Side

Real Madrid midfielder Mahamadou Diarra says that it is impossible for Los Merengues to fail this season with the squad of players they have.

After making his first start, in the weekend defeat to Sevilla, since recovering from knee surgery, Diarra says that defeat will inspire Madrid to even greater things this season.

"We can take something positive from what happened on Sunday. Surely this setback will push us to do better. As they say: A great team never loses two games in a row and we are a great team," he told AS.

"With a team of less means we won two league titles in a row so now with this fantastic group it is impossible to fail."

On his own recuperation from an eight-month long lay-off the Malian said he is feeling better than ever.

"Despite the intensity of the encounter [against Sevilla] I had no problems adapting. It [the knee] is in perfect condition. The Sevilla game was the perfect test to see if it was healed. I feel stronger than before and even younger," Diarra added.
