Failed medical, but Milito confident of Real Madrid deal

Gaby Milito insists he is confident he will complete his move to Real Madrid, despite failing a medical last week.

The Independiente defender underwent tests carried out by Real's doctors last week. But results forced the medicos to raise concerns over Milito's fitness.

"I am calm," he said yesterday. "But I am not surprised by this situation. I have been put under the medical checkups that Real Madrid has requested of me and the results were satisfactory."

"But it does not finish anything. I have the dream to wear this shirt and to play for Real Madrid."

Milito's agent, Hugo Issa, also said: "It is important to respect the decision of the doctor, but I think he is being very conservative. Milito is not unfit, he just hasn't started training. He does not have any kind of problem."
