Fabri set to go home

Real's out of favour striker Rodrigo Fabri has reached an agreement to join Brazilian side La Portuguesa on loan for this coming season.

Fabri accepted the deal to return to his home country and now all that remains is for the two clubs to finalize details of the move.

Rodrigo's agent, Fernando César plans to meet up with Real's Sports manager Jorge Valdano on Thursday to discuss the matter, but he confirmed that a deal agreed.

He said: "We have come to an agreement with the club, the only thing missing is for La Portuguesa and Real Madrid to start talking."

The Brazilian signed for Real Madrid three years ago but has not managed to play a single game for the Merengues.

The player, whose contract with Real expires in June 2002, has spent the last three seasons playing on loan at various clubs including Valladolid and Sporting Lisbon.
