Fabri keen on Sporting stay

Real Madrid's Rodrigo Fabri has decided against a return to the Bernabeu after his loan spell at Sporting Lisbon comes to an end next month.

Rodrigo signed for Real Madrid three years ago but has not managed to play one single game for the Merengues and it seems that now, he is tired of waiting for his chance to arrive.

The Brazilian is hoping that Sporting Lisbon, where he has been spending the last year on loan, will agree to buy him outright from Real Madrid in the summer, and Rodrigo could enter the deal to bring Sporting's centre-back, Beto to the Bernabeu in a close season transfer switch.

Rodrigo's representative, Fernando Cesar said on Wednesday: "It would be much better for everyone concerned if Real Madrid were to sell Rodrigo definitively. The player doesn't want to be loaned out again next season and would prefer to remain at Sporting Lisbon, where he will be counted on next season".

The only obstacle as far as Sporting are concerned would be to meet the high wage packet, the Brazilian striker receives from Real Madrid.
