Ex-Real Madrid coach Del Bosque fancies Serie A

Former Real Madrid trainer Vicente del Bosque says he'd welcome the opportunity to work in Italy.

It's understood Del Bosque's representatives received enquiries from Serie A clubs last month prior to Real's shock decision not to renew his contract.

Del Bosque said yesterday: "I want to coach in Italy. Italian football is very competitive and far from boring."

"Italy would be the best option for me because the players over there are top class."
