Every Game Is A Final For Real Madrid - Malaga's Nacho
The midfielder knows that the defending champions have to win each match from now until the end of the season
Malaga midfielder, Nacho, has acknowledged today that every game for Real Madrid from now until the end of the season is a 'final'.
The Andalucian side welcome Madrid to La Rosaleda this weekend and will be looking to bounce back from their 6-0 hammering by Barcelona two weeks ago.
Nacho knows it will be a tough match though and declared that "for Madrid, all ten games are finals".
For Malaga on the other hand, they have already over-achieved this season and the midfielder told Marca that the pressure is off now.
"The ones at the bottom, they have pressure, but we have got this far and now it is a reward if we manage to get into Europe," he explained.
"We want to play a good match to continue our chances of qualifying for Europe."
Certainly a win against Madrid would be a massive step for Malaga and Nacho just wants to get on with things after their defeat to Barcelona.
"If you lose a game you want the next one to come straight away. We have had bad luck but we just want the next game," he mused.
The player went on to recall when, 25 years ago, the now extinct CD Malaga beat Real Madrid 6-2, and admits it will be hard to repeat something similar.
"I hope that we could do it again, but it is very difficult to repeat a result like this and that was many years ago," he concluded.
