Everton want to know McManaman's Real Madrid situation

Everton boss Dave Moyes is keen to clarify Steve McManaman's situation at Real Madrid.

Moyes is interested in bringing the 31 year-old England international back to Merseyside, but wants to know whether the Real midfielder is willing to take a pay-cut from his current £60,000-a-week deal.

Real could help smooth McManaman's exit by offering a pay-off for the final year of his contract.
