Everton want Real Madrid's Gravesen back on Merseyside

Everton are aiming to bring Real Madrid midfielder Thomas Gravesen back to Goodison Park in January.

The Mirror says the Merseyside club retained a buy-back clause in the deal that took Gravesen to Madrid last season and now they are hoping to exercise it.

Madrid signed two more central midfielders in the summer meaning Gravesen has had few chances this season and his long-term future looks bleak.

Goodison manager David Moyes is hoping to exploit that situation with a move in January and is willing to spend the £2.5million they received just over a year ago.
