Everton's Gravesen surprised by Real Madrid link

Everton midfielder Thomas Gravesen has admitted surprise over reports linking him with Real Madrid.

Real GM Arrigo Sacchi is set to offer £2 million in January for the Danish international, whose contract runs out at the end of this season.

Gravesen's agent, John Sivebaek, was reportedly in Madrid on Sunday to discuss the deal with Real officials.

"The interest of Real Madrid is a great surprise to me," Gravesen told AS. "I know absolutely nothing. I cannot speak on this subject because there are many rumors."

"I cannot and I do not have to speak about this. Everything you want to know, you can get from my representative. Real Madrid is a great team, but I cannot say more."
