Everton, Roma watch as Real Madrid makes McManaman available

Real Madrid remain open to offers for English midfielder Steve McManaman.

The former Liverpool winger was made available to Inter Milan to take as part of Ronaldo's summer move and has also been linked with AS Roma.

Real are keen to offload several of their fringe players to trim the club's wage bill and McManaman falls into that category.

A loan deal with Everton has also been mooted, though the Blues would need to strike an agreement with Real that they cover part of McManaman's huge wages.
