Everton, Man City wait as Real Madrid's McManaman works through options

Real Madrid midfielder Steve McManaman reportedly has been using the international week to review his options this season.

McManaman is wanted by several Premiership clubs, including Everton, Newcastle and Manchester City and despite saying otherwise earlier, he is unlikely to start the Spanish Liga season in Real colours.

The stumbling block for McManaman and Real is a reported contract payoff, with a year still to go on his £60,000-a-week deal.
