Everton, Man City ready to pounce this week for Macca

Everton and Manchester City are monitoring developments at Real Madrid over Steve McManaman's future.

The Sunday Mirror says any player left out of Real's squad to tour China by new coach Carlos Queiroz is no longer wanted - and McManaman will not be among those travelling.

Queiroz said: "I want to be honest with all the players and if they are not in my plans I will tell them."
