Everton deny reports of McManaman talks

Everton have been quick to play down reports of a secret meeting between manager Dave Moyes and Real Madrid's Steve McManaman.

A club spokesman said: "There has been no contact between Everton Football Club and Steve McManaman."

McManaman's future at Real is up for discussion and he could be on his way back to the Premiership with Everton and Manchester City believed to be chasing the 31 year-old.
