Everton boss plays down interest in Real Madrid's McManaman

Everton boss Dave Moyes has played down his interest in Real Madrid midfielder Steve McManaman.

Moyes said: "It seems now that everyday we are linked with one player or the other and Steve McManaman is another name."

"He is a name that I have already admitted we have an interest in but it is starting to get crazy at the moment."

"People know who we have made offers for players and nothing has happened on those fronts and I would say there is nothing happening with anyone just now."
