Everton back in for Real Madrid's McManaman

Real Madrid trainer Carlos Queiroz is looking to release Steve McManaman from the final year of his contract.

The Guardian says Everton boss Dave Moyes is keen to bring the 31 year-old back to Merseyside, but must persuade McManaman to take a massive cut in his current £60,000-a-week wages.

McManaman is with Real's squad for their tour of Asia, but his future with the Spanish giants remains in doubt.
